I graduated from University in 1992 with no idea of who I was or what I wanted—something I had been grappling with long before I entered college.
For decades, I looked for a sense of identity and security everywhere but inside. That path led to external success and loneliness and despair in equal measure. I went to law school, Oxford University’s Saïd Business School, and got a Master’s in Creative Writing. I also got married and divorced, twice.
I lived a life of extreme wealth and privilege while feeling deeply disconnected on the inside. I spent almost 50 years living as a reaction to early trauma and what society taught me, chasing external validation and security because I felt unworthy (something is wrong with me…if only I could…). I sought to fix those problems by working my way through a system that wasn’t built for women. Every time I felt fear or insecurity, I looked for something outside of me to fix it.
Finding peace and joy is an inside job.
I honored my yearning for something different.
When something doesn’t feel right, if we’re stuck or lost, it usually means there’s work to do. Someone can support you, help guide you, challenge you, but the real work is yours to do.
I wrestled deeply with my core values and how they fit with the life I was living. I did every coaching exercise I have ever asked my clients to do. I acknowledged that there were deep misalignments in how I spent my time and with whom, what gave me energy and what didn’t, and what I needed to stay resilient.
Two years before my 50th birthday, I walked away from a life that was stable and secure and had all the outward appearances of success. I was married to an extraordinarily wealthy man and I was an Associate Fellow at the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School. I lived on the grounds of a palace and had a driver, gardener, housekeeper, and personal stylist. I left it all with nothing but the money I had personally earned during my marriage. I took my child with me and returned to a country we hadn’t lived in for over a decade. I had to start from scratch. I was no one’s responsibility but my own.
To rebuild and reclaim my life, I had to do ‘the work’.
I hired an army of healers to support me in my journey back to self, but even with the support, it takes courage, self-compassion, and commitment.
I know the path of integrity and the way back to yourself after decades of being lost—how to transform your life into what you want it to be. I understand how to build self-belief after years of lacking it. I know what it takes to have a vision for your life when you previously couldn’t even choose a throw pillow, to take risks when you are financially afraid, and to enlist allies when you’ve never before asked for help.
Working together means I’m all in.
If you’re only looking for a business coach, I might not be for you.
Together, we’ll explore different areas of your life to help you grow and unblock what’s holding you back. I’ll be on your team all the time, as your biggest supporter—working for what’s best for you, pushing you to believe in yourself ,and challenging your unhelpful assumptions, even if you don’t want to hear it.
Why the focus on women?
I don’t only work with women. I’ve helped multiple male clients break through what’s stopping them and make great strides in their lives and careers.
I love working with women because trauma and culture hold us back. The systemic challenges women face not only in advancing their careers but also in truly knowing and believing in themselves are deeply personal to me. It has been my path, so it’s my purpose.
I help women figure out where they are going so they recognize it as the place they envisioned when they arrive. I help them find their voice to announce themselves along the way in a manner that can be heard. I teach them how to enlist allies, because they’ll need them, and I support them at every stage in their career and in their broader lives.
Together, let’s support each other in stepping into our light.
Let’s find clarity on what you want, create the path to get you there, and help you BE PROFOUNDLY YOU
